What is a freight forwarder?

Freight forwarding is a service used by companies that deal in international or multi-national import and export. A freight forwarder doesn’t move the goods itself but acts as an intermediary between the customer and various transportation services to ship the goods from the manufacturer to the market or the final point of distribution.

Why should I use a freight forwarding service?

Utilizing a freight forwarder can save you time and uncertainty, ensuring that your goods arrive at their destination safely and on time. They have the expertise and knowledge to handle any unexpected situations and have a network of logistics partners to ensure a smooth process.

What services do you offer?

We offer a range of services including air freight, ocean freight, ground freight, rail freight, and more. We can also provide multimodal solutions based on your specific needs. For more details regarding our services, please visit our services page.

How do I get a quote for shipping my goods?

You can request a quote by filling out the form on our “Request a Quote” page or by contacting us directly via email or phone.

What is the transit time for my shipment?

Transit times vary depending on the mode of transportation and the destination. We can provide more accurate estimates once we have all the details regarding your shipment.

How reliable is your company?

At Paragon International Forwarding, we prioritize reliability to ensure a smooth freight forwarding experience for our clients. With a team of seasoned professionals and a strong network of global partners, we have established a track record of delivering goods safely and on time. Our client testimonials and long-term partnerships reflect our commitment to reliability.

Can you handle customs clearance?

Yes, we can handle the coordination and execution of customs clearance for your cargo, ensuring a smooth process across borders.

What documents are required for customs clearance?

The documents required may vary, but generally include a Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, and Packing List. It’s advisable to check the specific requirements for your destination country.

How do you ensure compliance with customs regulations?

We maintain a database of your products along with the respective tariff information, free trade certificates, and custom compliance requirements to ensure that all documents are in place ahead of time.

What happens if my shipment faces issues with customs?

Our team of Customs Certified Specialists will work to resolve any issues as quickly as possible to ensure your shipment continues on its journey with minimal delays.

What does 3rd Party Billing mean?

3rd Party Billing is when a party other than the shipper or consignee is responsible for paying the freight charges

Why do I need to insure my shipment?

Insurance protects against loss or damage to your goods while in transit. While every shipment is handled with great care, accidents outside the carrier or freight forwarder’s control can happen, and it’s advisable to insure your goods to mitigate any financial risk

Can you ship my vehicle?

Yes we can! There are some special procedures that need to be followed when shipping a car but this is something we do all the time. However, at this time we are unable to ship EV cars.

Who is the consignee?

The consignee is the individual or entity to whom the goods are being shipped and who is the receiver of the cargo. The consignee’s details, including name and address, are essential for the documentation process and ensuring the correct delivery of the shipment. It’s crucial to provide accurate consignee information when arranging for freight forwarding services.

Is package size important?

Absolutely, especially since we primarily handle large shipments. The size of your shipment, whether sized in pallets or containers, significantly impacts the cost, method of transportation, and delivery time. Providing precise dimensions and weight helps us to offer an accurate quote and ensures proper handling and space allocation during transit. Our team is experienced in managing large-scale shipments and can guide you on the best practices to optimize your shipment for cost-effectiveness, safety, and timely delivery.
